SD2902 : Dune slack on the Sefton coast

taken 19 years ago, near to Hightown, Sefton, England

Dune slack on the Sefton coast
Dune slack on the Sefton coast
A dune slack to the south of Hightown on the Sefton coast. Fenced to protect the habitat of the endangered natterjack toads in the area. Dune slacks can form in the flat bottomed hollows between dune ridges particularly in winter when the water table rises.
