Rotunda Museum
Three of Scarborough's important buildings are shown here. The museum was built 1828-9 with the wings added in 1860. Within are splendid collections of fossils and geological exhibits. On the hilltop behind is the elegant cream painted facade of the Mount Hotel of around 1840, whilst to the right is the huge Victorian Grand Hotel of 1867, built to accommodate those arriving in the first class railway carriages.
