NT5468 : Spindrift, Cross Hill

taken 13 years ago, near to Gifford, East Lothian, Great Britain

Spindrift, Cross Hill
Spindrift, Cross Hill
End of the road,as the hill road to Duns is obliterated by snow blowing off fields through a gateway at 180m asl. There was little snow here, but the snow that fell was very mobile on a strong southeasterly. This is why shelterbelts are a popular feature on farms in the Lothians.
