55/02 at Cock Stoor
This rather conspicuous orange structure is one of several shelters to be opened in 2009 along the Lakeside Way, the recently-opened path which encircles Kielder Water. It has been designed by "Sixteen* (makers)". It consists of two cabins with a movable wall which allows users to configure the shelter according to the prevailing wind. It is called 55/02 as it is located at 55 degrees north, 2 degrees west (or 55 degs 11.30' north, 2 degs, 29.23' west to be precise).
