"Viewpoint" on the north shore
"Viewpoint" is a sculpture near Needs Hill on the north side of Kielder Water at a narrow point of the reservoir. Part of the Kielder Arts Programme, it was designed by Tania Kovats and erected in 1998, but is now showing its age. The design of the sculpture represents the viewpoint symbol on Ordnance Survey maps. There is another matching sculpture NY6589 : "Viewpoint" at Halfpenny Rigg at Halfpenny Rigg on the south shore.
