An interpretive panel on this peninsula on the north shore of Kielder Water describes the Janus Chairs, a series of king-sized rotating seats which are just one of several shelters to be opened in 2009 along the Lakeside Way, the recently-opened path which encircles Kielder Water. But despite the panel, there is no sign of the chairs, unless these concrete footings mark the spot at which they are going to be erected some time in the future.
