Slater's Incline
Slater's Incline
Slater's Incline, sometimes known as Plashetts Incline, was an old inclined plane waggonway which linked the Plashetts and Far Colliery up on the moor down to a junction with the Border Counties Railway (1858-1962) which at this point lies beneath the waters of Kielder Water. The path cutting across the line of the incline is the newly-constructed Lakeside Way which encircles the lake.
