Lone Hawthorn
Lone Hawthorn
It's a hard life being a sheep on the Brecon Beacons. This ancient tree provides useful shelter at its base for the generations of sheep that graze the slopes of Allt Ddu. Bracken is poisonous, but fortunately unpalatable, so the grass is close cropped wherever the sheep can find it.
