At first glance the former St Patrick’s school, in Donegall Street J3374 : Donegall Street, Belfast (3), is not something to grab the attention. The dark reddish brown brick is none too attractive.
Look twice and you will see a building, opened in 1828, built in the Gothic Revival style and full of interesting detail well worth examination. The architect’s name is not recorded but might be one Thomas Duff of Newry. It includes this clock (accurate) bearing the name Campbell and Company.
No longer a school but retains an educational link as offices for the Council for Catholic Maintained Schools. Continue to J3374 : Former St Patrick's school, Belfast (2).
