SO0824 : Yew Tree
near to Pencelli, Powys, Great Britain

Yew Tree
One of several enormous yew trees growing in the churchyard which might well be as old as the church. As a Christian symbol, the yew represents life in that it seems immortal, and death because of its poisonous red berries and the springy wood used for making longbows.
