This is the view from the window of the Tanist (heir's) House, which was rebuilt in 1956-7 as the family home of the Macneils. The doorway under the castellations leads into the Chapel, see NL6697 : Entrance to Chapel, Kisimul Castle. Upstairs from this viewpoint there is a bedroom with a made-up bed and ensuite bathroom (it would seem an invasion of privacy to publish a photo!).
