Mezzanine floor within the tower-house. One must stoop to enter from the staircase, as the floor is higher than it would originally have been (yup, despite all the warnings, both written and verbal (from the boatman), I bashed my head on an unyielding stone lintel!). This was the most important apartment in the Lord's tower-house - there is no fireplace, so it is conjectured that heat was provided by free-standing braziers.
