NJ8812 : Semaphore signals
near to Dyce, Aberdeen, Great Britain

Semaphore signals
Semaphore (railway) signals were developed in the 1850s and the basic concept of their operation has changed relatively little to this day. These fine mechanical signals at Dyce had a modern touch in terms of the solar panel used to power the lamps. Alas, they are now replaced by colour light signals.
