Newbiggin Point - Newbiggin-By-The-Sea, Northumberland
Newbiggin-By-The-Sea is situated on the Northumberland coast, 15 miles north-east of Newcastle. Here, at Newbiggin Point, stands the ancient church of St. Bartholomew. Although the church we see today is a 1846 rebuild, the original church was built in the 14th century. It is also believed that a small church occupied this site before 1174.
