Manordeifi old church, chancel and nave

The great charm of this church is its unadorned simplicity, which fortunately escaped ill-judged restoration and modernisation. This view from the chancel shows the crude slate floor slabs, white plastered walls with a simple pointed arch and the box pews ranged along both sides of the nave. The panelled pulpit was probably once a three-decker similar to that at Bayvil.
