Entrance to level at Aberllyn Mine
Entrance to level at Aberllyn Mine
Zinc and lead were mined at Aberllyn into the 20th century. This is one of a number of levels close to the footpath towards Llyn Parc. I think this is the first the visitor comes to when walking up the gorge. All have been closed off by Forest Enterprise who no longer allow access. For a view inside the entrance see SH7958 : Flooded level at Aberllyn Mine.
