SH2991 : The shingle bar formed across the Fydlyn inlet
3 km from Llanfairynghornwy, Isle of Anglesey/Sir Ynys Mon, Great Britain

The shingle bar formed across the Fydlyn inlet
The bar has cut off the narrow inlet leading to the formation of the fresh-water Y Fydlyn lake. The tombolo linking the eastern Ynys y Fydlyn island to the mainland is underwater at high tide.
The cliff side path on the right is the Anglesey Coastal Path, while that in the foreground is a gentler path/track leading to the tarred road.
