View from near the lane across the southern end of Haweswater to the distinctive wooded peninsula of The Rigg. On the left is Harter Fell. On the right is Riggindale Crag and High Street. For cult film lovers, this is the view Marwood has when he steps out of the front door of Crow Cragg in 'Withnail and I'. This is also the site of Mardale Green, the community which was flooded by the building of the reservoir.
