Animal Wall 7 - Apes
One of nine original sculptures carved in 1891 by Thomas Nicholls to designs by William Burges. Originally on the walls of the Castle they were moved to Bute Park in the 1920s. Although listed as "ape" they look more like baboons to me, i.e. strictly monkeys rather than apes.
