Great Western Way, Transfer Bridge, Swindon
Great Western Way, Transfer Bridge, Swindon
Great Western Way is a relatively new road having been built in the last 30 years. It provides an west-east route across Swindon. It was a fairly major project as the land on which it stands was much higher than it is now. Before the road was built the land was used as railway sidings. The largely Victorian district of Gorsehill starts on the other side of Great Western Way.
