TR1434 : New bridge over the Royal Military Canal, Hythe

taken 22 years ago, near to West Hythe, Kent, England

New bridge over the Royal Military Canal, Hythe
New bridge over the Royal Military Canal, Hythe
The Royal Military Canal bounds Romney Marsh on the landward side, and runs westwards from Hythe. A Millennium project to restore and upgrade the canal was implemented, including upgrading the path alongside. This upgrade included the replacement of an old brick bridge with very awkward access at the west end of Hythe in favour of a new structure.
