Looking south-east across the beach to the dome of Biod Bàn. This area is a raised beach (at the end of the Ice Age, the land surface was raised after the removal of the weight of the former icecap). The sea would have once covered the low-lying shore area here up to the base of sea cliffs at Biod Bàn.
