Steam engine, Trencherfield Mill
Steam engine, Trencherfield Mill
J & E Wood horizontal twin tandem triple expansion engine built 1907 and developed 2100 horsepower. Now preserved by the Council and operated on steam. It is now repainted in green following a £600,000 overhaul. Trencherfield was an Edwardian cotton spinning mill and is a fine example of the genre.
