The Post Office is built on the site of the old vicarage which itself was on the site of St.Thomas' church.
After the reformation the Priory was bought by the villagers for £20 replacing St. Thomas' as the parish church.
The top of the priory church tower can be seen above the roof of the Post Office.
The Enigma Fountain on Belle Vue Island is visible on the right.
