Ervin Bossanyi at Canterbury Cathedral (1)
Two large windows by Ervin Bossanyi Link
face south in the Cathedral's south transept, close to one by the Arts & Crafts master Christopher Whall. The theme of this window relates to the experience of those interned in Nazi concentration camps but has an image of hope, with the release and restoration of the prisoner (centre). Bossanyi himself was interned in France during World War I as an "enemy alien" - he was originally a Hungarian Jew. View the other window: Link
