SS Peter and Paul church

There has been a church on the site since before the Norman conquest (1066). Most of the present church was built between the 12th and 15th centuries, with the 198 feet spire erected between 1400 and 1450. It sits to the west of the green, on a slight ride, and is visible for many miles around. There is a lot more information here Link
