SH2784 : Waves created by the passing ferry
near to Llanfwrog, Isle of Anglesey/Sir Ynys Mon, Great Britain

Waves created by the passing ferry
The coasts around Holyhead Bay are dotted with signs erected by the Port Authority (Stena Lines) warning users of the beaches of the danger of waves created by passing ferries. The waves photographed here are coming towards the shore at low tide and under very calm sea conditions, thus give only a weak indication of the size of ferry-created waves with a combination of rough weather and high water.
