Pipes and embankment, Scholebrook Lane, Tong
I keep finding large diameter concrete pipes in the countryside, and wonder how they came to be there. Perhaps they were left over form a drainage scheme long ago, and were not carted away afterwards, but you would think that the farmer would complain. The embankment was next to the disused Charles Pit, but looks to be part of an old mineral tramway from Tong Street to fields east of Scholebrook Farm.
