Converted watermill with a relatively rare pitchback waterwheel, where the water comes onto the wheel from a launder or elevated leat at 12 o’clock but the wheel rotates anticlockwise, unlike the more commonly installed overshot type. This mill has its own entry in Peter Wenham’s book ‘Watermills’
