Hoof prints in the sand
Holkham beach is very popular with the horsey fraternity: a walk or even canter in the waves and across the sand is reportedly good for strengthening a horse's legs. And there's plenty of sand and sea here. As TF8546 : Burnham Harbour shows, there is a particular crossing point on Gun Hill onto the sandbank here, which is cut off at mid- to high tide. Horses have crossed here at about 2 1/2 hours before low tide and are vanishing TF8646 : Off into the distance.
