Though built in 1818, ten years before Telford designed the 'Parliamentary' kirk of which some 30 wer built in the Highlands and Islands, this kirk is reminiscent of Telford's later deisgn. Is it a coincidence that its architect, John Smith, worked with Telford on improvements to Aberdeen Harbour?
