NY2720 : Sheepfold on Castlerigg Fell

taken 12 years ago, 3 km from Keswick, Cumbria, Great Britain

Sheepfold on Castlerigg Fell
Sheepfold on Castlerigg Fell
The sheepfold itself is in disrepair and made of wooden posts and wire; it is adjacent to a pile of stones and the remains of a small building. The original function of the twin sandstone slabs is unsure - they appear too upright and level to be in their original position.
