NO5132 : The mouth of the Buddon Burn

taken 14 years ago, near to Monifieth, Angus, Great Britain

The mouth of the Buddon Burn
The mouth of the Buddon Burn
Where the Buddon Burn enters the Tay estuary, longshore currents have created a spit (here on the right and foreground of the photo). The view looks east into the lagoon behind the spit. This area is part of the MOD land at Barry Buddon. Limited public access has allowed the development of important wildlife habitats and as a consequence most of the ness at Buddon is an SSSI.
