Traffic jam on the M6, as far as the eye can see ......
For those of you who may be viewing this photo at some point in the far distant future, when air-cars are the norm, this is the kind of traffic jam we British had to put up with in 2009! This was an exceptional queue, though. This is the northbound carriageway of the M6, just north of Knutsford - a horse box had turned over about a mile from here, and all the horses were running across the carriageway. The police had to close the motorway in both directions for around 2 hours, causing chaos for all of us making our way home from work. I tried to find out if the horses were ok, but nobody knew.
