Normally it is possible to find a multipicity of Bee Orchids in these sand dunes but on 1st July 2009 only these two unmistakeable conical flower spikes of the Pyramidal Orchid (Anacamptis pyramidalis) were in evidence as far as I could see.
Also in the image are the yellow flowers of Mouse-ear Hawkweed (Pilosella officinarum) and the pink Restharrow (Ononis repens.
