Plaster Down
Plaster Down
Plaster Down is an area of flat download on the southwestern flank of Dartmoor at about 200 metres above sea level. The rock in the foreground is probably basalt which has been intruded into the country rock in places. It's a lot harder than the surrounding rock and this boulder may have been here since this area was the sea bed.
