A well-known landmark, it will cease to be part of the main Belfast – Dublin road when the new bypass opens. The road had been improved beyond recognition in recent years (including J1038 : Belfast-Dublin road near Loughbrickland (1), J0510 : The M1/N1 at Ballymascanlan, O0479 : Motorway at Balgatheran, Co.
