Sunbury Lock Ait
The ait (i.e. island) can be seen on the right of the channel. It is a narrow sliver of wooded land and is uninhabited. Public access from the Surrey bank is by the footbridge from which this picture was taken. Two other footbridges link the island with Sunbury Lock (downstream) and Wheatley's Ait (upstream) respectively but are not accessible to the public.
