The road through Killearn from Stirling to Glasgow, as it passes the parish church (on the right). The road ahead takes a sharp turn to the left. Those who fail to take the corner will end up in the Black Bull Hotel (which can be seen in the distance) NS5285 : The Black Bull.
Above the trees on the right can be seen the top of an obelisk built in memory of George Buchanan, a tutor to James VI and also a former moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland (until recently he was the last elder (opposed to a minister) to hold this post).
