Memorial to Richard Evans, the Bonesetter
Memorial to Richard Evans, the Bonesetter, taken 8 years ago
Richard Evans was the son of Evan Thomas, the founder of the famous dynasty of Anglesey bonesetters and, later, world-class orthopaedic surgeons. Richard, a farmer and a bonesetter, was not a man to trifle with. At a fair some young bucks thought they could have a laugh by pretending that one of them had dislocated his shoulder. Richard grabbed hold of him and promply dislocated the shoulder. The lad ended up having to plead for Evans to reset it.
