Farming at Blaencwm
The dairy cows are in the shed waiting for afternoon milking. The feed hopper contains bulk "cattle cake" and to the right, polythene wrapped bales of silage have taken over from clamp silage, which would traditionally have been made in the pit in the foreground. The pale mass is netting used to hold the grass together before the bales are wrapped, subsequently removed before using the bales and now waiting for disposal.
