St Philip with St Stephen Church
St Philip with St Stephen Church
St Philip with St Stephen was designed by Sir Robert Smirke in 1825. The building’s Greek style is unique in Salford, its bow–fronted porch with ionic colonnade and balustraded parapet and bell tower above. The church became St Philip’s with St Stephen in 1962 when nearby St Stephen’s church closed and the congregations merged.
