Inner and Outer Baileys, Portchester Castle
The Inner and Outer Baileys of Portchester Castle viewed from the top of the 100 feet high 12th century Norman keep. The ruined building containing the Inner Bailey is the Eastern Ranges which date from the 13th and 14th centuries. In the far corner of the Outer Bailey is the 12th century St Mary's church. Portsmouth Harbour is in the background.
