SE1422 : Lawson Road, Brighouse

taken 15 years ago, near to Brighouse, Calderdale, England

Lawson Road, Brighouse
Lawson Road, Brighouse
This was Police Street up to the mid-20C. Presumably the police station was here. I think it was part of the Leeds and Elland turnpike road, and was called Brighouse Lane in 1850. The private car park on the left used to be a petrol filling station, and the buildings on the right are council offices.
