Steam engine, Low Hall Depot
Steam engine, Low Hall Depot
Now a local museum. the engine is a pair of Marshall horizontal single cylinder engines that were originally supplied with steam from refuse destructors (burning rubbish to produce power is nothing new - it's just come back in to fashion and is now green, when before it was sensible and efficient).
