This hide stands beside Sawpit Drive - a wide straight track running SW-NE. From the seat there is a clear view down the Drive in both directions. The sign just below the seat says "no entry". There is another similar hide 200 yards away to the north-east SU2266 : Hunter's High Seat - Savernake Forest so together the two high seats have a field of fire covering some 4-500 yards of the Drive.
