Mid Road
Mid Road
Mid Road cuts across the Orry LinkExternal link between Montgomery Street LinkExternal link and Polnoon Street LinkExternal link . A faint outline of a path running from the left hand-side of Mid Bridge to the former cotton mill LinkExternal link that once stood in the Orry can still be seen. Mid Road Bridge is unusual in that the bridge, with the exception of the parapet, is constructed of red sandstone. There is no evidence of red standstone having been used as a building material elsewhere in the village.
