This Franciscan Friary was established in 1253 by Thomas Fitzmaurice, 1st Lord of Kerry.
This view of the cloister was taken from the north-west corner, and the east side can be seen to be largely complete, even to the vaulting above the walk.
Behind can be seen the south wall of the nave of the Friary church.
