Shoreline and Muckle Skerry, Faray
The sandstone bedrock along the west side of Faray features many examples of fossil beach ripples. The reef just ofshore is called Muckle Skerry, home to many Common seals. The island in the middle distance is Rusk Holm with its distinctive bothy. The island in the far distance is Rousay.
