Formal gardens at Hardwick Hall
Formal gardens at Hardwick Hall
A Gertrude Jekyll inspired planting scheme has been used to great effect in the formal gardens at Hardwick. The original Gardens were the concept of Thomas Hobbes (1588 - 1679) and the National Trust's restoration project has brought a flavour of more modern planting to sit alongside the original Elizabethan design.
